IGLYO — The Internation Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Youth and Student Organisation is the world’s largest member-based LGBTQI Youth and Student network. IGLYO’s mission is to advance the rights of LGBTQI youth, fight for equality and inclusion, and empower their voices through international training programs and events, thematic research and advocacy campaigns, online tools and resources, networking activities, and more. Their overall goal is to build a world where young LGBTQI people can be their true and authentic selves without apology.

IGLYO currently counts over 100 Member Organizations in more than 40 countries across the Council of Europe Region. Their Members are hard-working organizations who represent and/or support LGBTQI youth and/or students. They either mainly consist of LGBTQI youth, work with LGBTQI youth or issues, or have a specific department working for or with youth.

Life Before Glue Up

Before Glue Up, IGLYO faced numerous challenges, notably the lack of an integrated system for managing events, payments, and emails. It had several tools like Office Suite, G Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Wild Apricot, each to perform a specific task. Every program had to be loaded with data from scratch, which often resulted in data loss.

The IGLYO team was looking for an all-in-one CRM platform that would:

  • Centralize all their Members’ and contacts' data.
  • Allow them to send mass emails and newsletters to the relevant stakeholders in their database.
  • Easily manage their various on-site and online events.

The team discovered Glue Up through an email invitation to a webinar presentation of the platform. After coordination and discussion with the Glue Up team, they realized that Glue Up was an ideal platform to achieve their management goals with a consolidated CRM.

Overcoming Roadblocks with All-in-One CRM 

Glue Up enabled IGLYO to improve its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) by centralizing the members’ data and financial workflows in one place. This helped IGLYO build a solid contact database that went beyond their sole membership so they could disseminate their activities as widely as possible to their target audiences. The streamlined membership management processes also allowed the team to add relevant information to an ever-growing database.

Their Programs department could easily create and manage events and have a better overview of their new and past attendees. Additionally, the campaigns creation tool has several design elements and drag-and-drop features that allow them to easily design professional mailing campaigns matching their visual identity.

All this contributed to its overall mission to empower, connect and advocate for the rights of LGBTQI young people.

Glue Up improved the digital experience of IGLYO members in several ways. Being able to design professional campaigns matching their visual identity allowed the organization to have a more professional and consistent outlook toward its members and contacts while increasing its opening and engagement rates.

Similarly, the advanced features in the event management module (like the community app) offered great opportunities to attendees such as starting to engage with each other prior to or during their events and receiving real-time updates on any changes to the program or event as they occur.

Additionally, options to pay their membership or event fees online also allowed for a better and less time-consuming procedure on both sides.
